Eviction

I am 10 days late in paying my rent.

Reason being I have been unemployed for a month and I'm moving out the end of Sept.

Statement reads....I demand payment or possession of premises within 3 days.

After 3 days they will start to evict.

I wrote them a letter telling them about my dilemna.

My question.....how long do I have before they can come in and change the locks and take possession of my property?

I do have $650. on deposit with them.

Thank you....I hope I have provided enough info. to answer my Question.

They cannot do anything until they serve you with an eviction proceeding and then obtain a court order of eviction. If you go to the hearing you will have an opportunity to work out a payment arrangement. Good luck.
