Eviction of a non-paying person from owners property
My uncle allowed a person who was homeless to stay in his home rent-free. This man agreed to do some minor jobs i.e. painting one small room,filling in tax forms and tidying the garden in lieu of rent.Rent for this 3-bed house would be in the region of $900-$1000 per month.He has been there since April 2004. My uncle was on good terms with this man until he informed him he was going to sell the house. He has refused to leave or move his own goods from my uncle's house. He delivered a letter informing my uncle he has a right to stay unmolested and in peace until he is ready to leave ( in approx 15 day)and that he was entitled to have electricity & water(utilities paid for by my uncle). There was a mention of INTENT to VACATE by the man. The closing for the sale is before this date. Does he have a right to do this and what rights does my uncle, the owner of the property have? He has filled the garage with junk and says my uncle can't touch it. There was never any written agreements nor anything agreed in principle just verbal. My uncle has also paid him in cash for work done.Can anyone help in a hurry??

Legal papers must be served immediately. The longer you wait, the longer it will take.
