eviction

i have received 3 eviction notices.one said i had 3 days to pay,which i couldnt,then another one with notice to vacate by august 1 2002.then yesterday july 18 i received a notice from my landlords lawyer saying i have 3 days to pay or leave.the thing about it is they want me to pay plus move.exactly how much time do i have?

Of course the landlord wants you to pay the back rent that is past due and owing and then move out. Wouldn't you do the same thing if you were the landlord? If you were served with an eviction complaint, and you have not defended it, you probably only have a few days before a writ of possession is issued and the sheriff comes knocking at your door to get your personal property out and assist the landlord in changing the door lock. You should find a new place to live immediately. Good luck.
