Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida
My ex-fianc and I were living together (In Florida) in an apartment. He abandoned me, his puppy and his belongings. Our lease does not expire until May of 2015. What re my legal options?"
Advised him I would accept only the rent for the month he left on and the utilities we accrued together in lue of the rest of the lease amount for the year and I would drop his belongings to him. But he keeps saying he doesn't have any money. He is employed as a kitchen manager at a nice restaurant. So, he makes decent money.

You don't give enough facts. Who signed your lease? If you signed it, you are responsible for it notwithstanding what your ex is doing. If you had a mutual agreement in writing you could sue him to enforce it. If your agreement was oral and dependent on your being together you are going to have a hard time enforcing it. If he signed the lease, he is still responsible for it as well. Seek some legal advice with all your paperwork
