Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida

my father has recently threatened to take my car away because he doesn't like a friend that i hang out with who sometimes rides in my car. the thing is, im 24 years old! the car is in both of our names, my credit alone wasn't enough to get the car. all the payments for the car are coming out of my account, the only thing my father has over me is that his name is the primary. can he really keep my car? do i have any chance of fighting him for it and winning? if he takes it away that also affects my employment, since i wont have transportation i'd lose my job. what are my options??

Sounds like the car belongs to both of you, and he doesn't like how you've been using it (to give rides to this "friend"). Don't forget that filing a lawsuit costs money. In addition, I would imagine that your relationship with your father is more important than your relationship with this friend... It was very nice of your dad to help you get the car even though you are an adult.
