Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida

Fencing Laws

June of 2008, my neighbor had a fence installed on my property. I was not aware of any fencing laws and assumed because, the neighbor knew it my property, the fence would in no way allow him to lay claim to my property. I've just learned this is not the case.

For some unfathomable reason, this neighbor has coveted this section of my property even before I purchased it. He told me he hated the survey markers and has removed them.

What steps should I take to secure ownership of this piece of my property?

Re: Fencing Laws

You should meet with an attorney. Adverse possession (the means by which your neighbor is attempting to take title to your property) takes 7 years.
