Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida
I am being forced to live in an uninhabitable place because of the department of corrections. I am on probation and the DOC made me move in here knowing the residence was not up to code. I have tried to move but was not allowed. I have always paid my rent. The landlord has refused to make necessary repairs on the residence because it costs too much money. Now, the landlord is trying to evict me without proper statutory notice because of the code violations that he was supposed to fix. I understand that I need to move but how do I move when someone else is telling me to stay but he refuses to fix the residence? What do I do?

Seek legal advice. Seek assistance from the probation office. Seek the Judge's intervention in your criminal case.
