Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida

Forclouser in a place Im renting

I am living in a home and have been since September. I was served forclosure papers today for my landlord. Seems they have not paid since July, prior to me moving in. What legal grounds do I have? Does that put them in breach of contract for not paying the mortgage and putting me in jepordy? What can I do? Do I lose my deposit? Should I pay rent upcoming or put it in escrow?

These are hard questions-How long is your lease? Are you current on your lease payments? How much is the deposit?

How much would it cost you to move?I have experience in this area and would suggest you call me at my law office now so plans can be developed to deal with this situation.(or e-mail me when and at what # I can reach you)
