Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida

Foreclosure

The house which I rent went into foreclosure and was sold at public auction on June 2. I still live there. The previous owners are saying that I owe them rent for June as title as not been transferred - however the Court told me that the new owners have equitable title as from 2nd June and written title is issued 10 days later. What do I do?

Re: Foreclosure

You owe the landlord rent per your lease for the time frame you occupied the property. You may have a lawsuit against your landlord for breach of the lease due to his foreclosure
