Foreclosure lien theory
I went into business with a friend and purchased a condo. He was completely put on the mortgage and i was not. However, i was put on the deed. Ive been paying him for my half all this time only to find out that the mtg pmt has not been consistently paid. Now it is going into foreclosure and i want to know if the mtg co can place a judgement on me for any amount bc im on the deed. I was never on the note/mtg to begin with and it was bc i never qualified to to get a mtg. Please advise.

Since you are not on the note, you are not responsible.
