we just got servedpapers about foreclosure on ourhome we are nolonger living in we got asummons to respondwefiled it yesterday. we moved out because we could not afford payments any longer. we have ashort sale on it. with us filing will it stop the foreclosurefor six more months or not. we put it for ashort sale in august 2008 of this year. can they garnishmy husbands wages . or take my lawsuit money i have coming to me next year. we filed for the court to hear our side. how long is the process. i hear people who foreclosed on their homes the lender knows they will never get paid back is that true. and will it go on our credit record for 8years thats what i,ve heard. and doe,s the judge let you tell your side. about why you could not pay your house note anylonger. because of hardship . that we are going through currently.

There are steps to take in order for the Court to hear your side of the case. Mere hardship is not a reason for them not to foreclose on the property. There are several things you can do to work with the lender to keep the home,as well as delay the foreclosure or avoid some of the credit problems.
