Is there a form for a homeowner for release from a contractor so that his subcontractors cannot place a lien on my property?

Yes, you can do a general internet search for a "Release of Lien" form online. The contractor and subcontractor must complete the form for the amount in which you have paid them. Also, if you have received a "notice" from material suppliers that they have provided materials for your project, you need to have them sign and return to you a release of lien form.
The standard is you should receive a the forms signed for the previous payment prior to release of the next payment to the contractor.
yes. readily available with a google search
Yes, absolutely you can find it online or contact an attorney to do it for you. If a lien is placed on your property and you don't think you owe the money, you can file a notice of contest too. Regards,
