Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida

My girlfriend crashed her car and was not insured and her name is on the propert

My girlfriend crashed into someone while driving without insurance. The person she crashed into has Gieco and they are now aking her to attend court to pay off the $5,000 damage she made to the other car. What is the extent of her liability and can they go after the condo? Can we do a quick claims deed to cover our interests??

Thank you in advance.

If the case has not gone to trial, then there has been no final judgment entered and the party pursuing claims against your girlfriend cannot attempt to collect any money yet. If and when a final judgment against your girlfriend is entered, then and only then can the judgment creditor seek to enforce the judgment with various collection efforts. Your girlfriend may want to consider hiring a lawyer to defend her. If a judgment is entered, the judgment creditor cannot go after the condominium if the property is your girlfriend's homestead in Florida. Good luck.
