Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida

my girlfriend gave me her ipod and i tossed it on to her lap and turned around to go get something from my shed and her dads girlfriend pulled out of my drive way and left and now her dad has the ipod in his safe and wont give it back and im not allowed on his property or i go to jail

Write a letter and ask nicely for its return and provide him an envelope and postage to return it. OR Boy a new one and dont let this one get tossed anywhere.
