Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida

Please give a legal definition of Commercial Use of ones property

Please give a definition for Commercial use of a homeowners property. Our Homeowners association has acused me of Commercial use out of my residence because I operate a decorating business from my home and use my home address as a phone contact for my clients. None of the clients come to my residence. Can the Home owners Association classify this decorating business as Commercial use?

I think you would best off by consulting with counsel and resolving the differences without litigation. Clearly here are degrees of doing business. Also there may be collateral reasons for doing as you do, all of which may not violate the condo documents. Call for an appointment.

It appears you are conducting business out of your home, but your conduct may not necessarily violate the condominium by laws and regulations (condo docs) or any other law. You should seek counsel and attempt to resolve any dispute without litigation. Good luck.
