Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida
My Grandfather, who recently passed, was not married but owned a home with his girlfriend who died over 4 years ago. Are the children of the girlfriend entitled to part of his home? No probate was ever filed for this woman. Is there a statute of limitations on this; here in Florida?

It depends upon how the house was owned. Statute of Limitations doesn't apply to this situation.

The deed will indicated who had title? If she is an owner, her estate must go to probate.
