Ground Leases

I am trying to find out about ground leases in Florida.Can an heir to the land break the lease by not accepting the rent each month?

This is for a 99 year lease renewable 10 times.

Simply refusing to accept the rent on a valid lease will not cancel it any more than the tenant's refusal to pay would release them. Your rights are controlled by the contract. I assume that the contract runs with the land.
