Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida
If the HOA dues get behind and the association says the file is at the attorneys office, where should a payment be sent? It seems fees collect on the account when you contact the attorneys office. This is not right. I didn't hire them, and they just charge whatever fee to their ledger they feel like, so I do not want to work with them and rack up service fees right now. Will this get settled by sending payments to the regular payment address, or will the payment get forwarded and applied to fees first? Thanks.

Doubt it. If the HOA referred it to their attorney, you will have to pay him. Call him and work out a settlement.
