hoa fees

We were behind on our mortgage and hoa fees. We successfully mitigated the foreclosure, but in the process received a cross-claim from the HOA. We have paid more than the amount in the cross claim, but still have a balance due. They haven't let us know how much (its been over a month). Are we in danger of still losing our home or of further legal action?
