Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida
hoa foreclosure on lien
How can i find an affordable defense attorney for a HOA foreclosure on a lien. I've already sent them a letter disputing the charges and they didn't give me ant more verification of the charges in their return letter. I have gone through the summons and found quite a few areas where i think the HOA has not followed federal collection law and the amount showing as paid in the summons is greater than the amount showing as owed. I'm feeling--name removed--by the attorney and incredibly stressed because this is all so foreign to me. It doesn't seem right. more to the story but trying to keep it as short as possible. Can anyone help?

The Florida Bar has a lawyer referral program that operates in many counties. Call The Florida Bar. They have an 800 number but I am unable to post a telephone number here. You can call information or look online.
They will be able to refer you to an attorney for a low cost initial consultation. After that, you can negotiate with the attorney for an acceptable fee arrangement.
