H.O.A problems
question is kind of long bu here goes. my sub division has a homeowners ass. and i joined when i moved in to my house this year when i went to pay my dues the new president said i could not be a member cause i was not on his list i have my canceled check and showed him and he said that the association was only for property owners that had deaded lake access but is named after the sub division and i have all the orignal declaration of restrictionsand my lot number is not on it .and i have additional declaration of covenants that includes my lot and the president says i cant join even with that paper work and on my title it states i must join the association and it states that on the declaration of restrictions.there is 213 homes in our sub division and only 148 members can the association keep home owners from joining and useing the comon ground owned by the association and what do i do to remady this problem you input is greatly welcomed the laws that cover homeowners ass.is chapter 720 thank you

I would have to read the HOA documents, your purchase contract and your title policy to answer your question. Sounds like your are being screwed by someone. Call me if you wish at 561 998 9401.
