Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida
My HOA rejected my prospective tenant because she has a credit score under 700.
I told them that the financial decision and the risk is mine, they are not extending credit to the tenant.
Do they have legal authority to fix an arbitrary number 700 or 750 FICO score as a condition to the prospective tenant? If so they could say we also want them have x salary or to have a Masters degree. Please advise

They need a valid reason. A credit score over 700 is not one.. I would right a letter threatening a lawsuit.
