Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida
The house I am currently renting is in the process of being sold. I have been greatly inconvenienced by people coming to look at the house (phone calls, texts, and visits). I feel I have been very reasonable up to this point, but am feeling taken advantage of. I had to endure a 4.5 hr inspection, and now the house needs work before it can be sold. I am expected to be without electricity for at least 5 hours while electrical work is done (I live in Florida and the temperatures are currently in the mid to upper 90's every day). So I am expected to either sit in the house with no A/C or electricity most of the day, or I am forced to leave the house I have payed rent for the entire day. What are my rights here? How much am I expected to be inconvenienced?
