Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida
My husband bought a house before we were married. He also put his father on the deed and the mortgage is a private loan with his step-mother. My name was never added to the deed or mortgage. We are wanting to sell our house right now & have decided to use a Realtor to aid the process. My father in law strongly wants us to sell By Owner, and actually just told us that he will not sign off on any sale of the house unless we do it his way. Is there any way we can override this??? This is obviously an infuriating situation that we do not want to be in. Please help!

He is a part owner, so No. You can do a partition suit though to force the sale of the property.
