Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida

right of way??

My husband and I bought a piece of property from my parents. Since that time we have built a home on this property. This property sits on lake front and has always been considered lakefront.

Years later, we received a letter stating that the original owner died and each resident was given a portion from the edge of the water to 6ft in the water.

It's now divorce time and he wants the house sold. Would this still be considered lakefront? my parents won't sign anything and asked about putting up a fence. This will most likely reduce the value correct?

Your divorce attorney should be able to answer this, but if not then we can give you a legal opinion on this, after some research of the current law, and suggest some options to deal with this issue.
