My husband owns half interest in a piece of property in Florida. What are my rights and how should I protect them?

This depends on how he is in title. You probably have an equitable interest in the property, and partial ownership upon his death. He is likely not able to sell the property without your signature. You will need to have a Florida real estate attorney review the paperwork to give you a more definite answer, in order to protect your rights.
