Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida
Investment lots in Florida
About a year and a half ago a
gentleman who I thought was my
friend, and who is also a real estate
agent and broker in Florida, sold me
couple of lots located in central Florida,
I've trusted him so I didn't do the
research unfortunately. It wasn't until
much later - about three weeks ago
that I've started receiving some
brochures from other real estate
agencies offering the same lots for
much less. In short, my ''friend'' sold
me two lots for $18,000.00 each, I'm
finding now that the lots just like mine
and located in the same area go for
around $7,000.00. He sold me lots for
over $10,000.00 more than he
purchased them (and that they are
worth), eventhough there were and
still are plenty more for a price of
$7,000.00 or even less. Is there
anything that I can do, any legal
action I can take, to recover at least
some of my money?
Thank You very much,

No.... I do not think there is any action that you can file that would undo your failure to determine the value of the lots. Florida law does not protect people against making a bad investment absent other factors which would be a violation of one law or another.
