Landlord wont accept money on 3 day notice
She's been trying to get me to give up my lease because she wants to rent it out for more money now that more people are being forced to rent and cant buy. I always tell her I will move when the lease is up. So anyway, I sent her the rent on the first, she waits til the 10th to claim she didnt get it. She puts a 3 day notice up on the 11th. So i told her we can easily solve this problem by meeting up and I can put the money in her hands before this 3 day notice expires. She says the only way she will accept the money is if she can add an addendum to the lease that states she can charge a late fee of $10 a day starting from the 2nd day of the month. Our lease says there is no late fee until the 7th day. I think she will hold onto the check for a couple days to say that I owe her all the late fees.I will send certified from now on but I need to know can she make me sign this at this point so I can continue my lease? She says if I dont sign it, she will evict me.

Pay your rent into court. When she trys to evict, retain counsel.
