Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida

What can I do when the Landlord keeps towing my car?

I live in a leased apartment complex. I have two cars listed with the landlord, one of which I use only at weekends. My weekend car has been towe twice. The first time, according to the Landlord, notices about the tree cutting event were left on tenant's door the day before. My problem with this towing incident was that (1)I never received the notice that was supposedly left on my door, and (2)my car would have been parked in the garage which I started renting since the beginning of last month, had I not needed to keep sending the garage door opener back for fixing since it did not work initially. After this initial towing incident, I started parking my car in the rented garage. But guess what? I returned home tonight to find other people moving into my leased garage space. When I inquired about my car, I was informed that my car was towed this afternoon. Once again, my car has been towed unexpectedly, with no apparent reason and no warning. I have go to through the expenses and inconvience of retrieving my car again? Help? What are my rights here?

It appears you have a claim against the landlord for breach of the lease. You may file an action in the county where the property is located or prepare and serve a demand letter to the landlord demanding reimbursement and a cure to the ongoing problem. Seek the advice of a lawyer and good luck.
