Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida

My landlords dog bit me

Last June or July my landlords dog came running into my yard while I was walking my dog. I hoisted my dog up so he wasn't bit but I was bit in the process. My landlord said it was my fault because I was wearing pants. I did call Animal Control and let them know. Well my boyfriend (he lives with me) was almost attacked again yesterday by my landlords dog. My boyfriend was out walking our dog and her dog came running again and my boyfriend made it in the house when her dog got onto our front porch. She says she did nothing wrong. She wasn't holding the leash that he was on and she has a fenced in yard for him to run in. He is a Chow mix and I have a Yorkshire Terrier. I called Animal Control again to let them know about the almost attack. Is there anything I can do legally against her?

Re: My landlords dog bit me

You don't have any viable claim for the attack that almost happened, but you do have one for the attack the resulted in the bite on you. If your bite was significant, we might be interested in your case. Please call my office if you're interested in discussing it.
