can my lanlord raise my rent every month?

i live in this apartment for more than 16 months, i have all months paid my rent by first of the month. now beacuse change of administration my lanlord have change my rent 3 times in the last 3 months. first from $475 of my initial contract to $535, then from $535 to $545 and now from $545 to $545. is that legal or posible to do?

Rent changes may be legal

It depends on the wording of your lease agreement. Most lease agreements set forth the monthly amount of rent for a particular term,usually one year. If your lease agreement is notfor a specific term, then yes the landlord canincrease the rent to whatever he wants upon giving propernotice.
