Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida
Law pertaining to satisfaction of mortgage
Is there a Florida Statute that stipulates a satisfaction of mortgage be delivered within 30 days of such satisfaction. I believe thats how statute 701.05 reads, but I'm not certain. It also states that the mortgager's failure to provide such a document within said time frame is committing a second degree misdemeanor. Am I reading this correctly??

Re: Law pertaining to satisfaction of mortgage
701.04 gives the mortgagee 60 days after payment to forward a satisfaction of lien. 701.05 provides for 30days after a written request for the filing of satisfaction. Failure to do so is a misdemeanor.
