Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida
Laws governing rent increases for private RV parks
We are in a Private RV park in Fort Lauderdale Florida, this year we had a 28.5% increase in rent. Is the proprietor allowed to ask for such an increase? If no what are our recourses to contest such a raise? Thanking you in advance,

First, I would suggest you have an attorney review your lease agreement and any other documents you signed or that you received at the time you moved into the park. I would also like to know if this is an RV only park and if you have any mobile homes in the park that may be covered under Chapter 723.
Unfortunately, there is no statutory protection for RV only parks and you would be limited to the law of contracts in answering your question.

Read your lease agreement. There should be a provision regarding increases.
