Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida

A lawsuit has just been filed against me and any and all possible heirs (alive or dead) for a friend of mine who recently passed away. My friend just wanted to give me a personal memento and I do not want (nor was expecting) to be an heir to her property. I have 20 days to write a written note to the court and am wondering if I should get a lawyer to help me get out of this? I live in California but the suit is in Florida. Thank you.

If you have nor want any interest in the property, you can write that answer and file it with the Court and send it to the attorney who filed the case.
