Lease - With Owner Not Property Managment

I have lease with the owner of a condo, the property management company for the building says I need a lease with them. The owner told me this, but we thought we could save the $100 application fee charged by the prop mgmt firm.

Can I stay until the end of my lease, or do I need to sign a new lease with prop mgmt? Thanks

If the owner signed it , you have a lease.
