Lease not renewed

Gainesville, Fl. Went to landlord to sign new lease 5 days before it ran out. They said they leased appartment to someone else. My townhouse was owned by one owner then sold. New owner honored lease for 2 months til it ran out. Old owner told new one, I would be renewing lease. Old owner said everything was set.

No one contacted me (secretary said she tried to call. Nothing on caller ID). No letter, nothing. Old landlord thought this was illegal. What can you tell Me?

Re: Lease not renewed

Read your prior lease regarding renewal. If your old landlord will back you up in writing regarding your renewal I doubt a court will order eviction. Goodluck.
