Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida

Lease Termination

I signed a lease for what I believed was 7 months - As a result, I paid an additional $25 per month for the "privelege" of this 7 month lease. As it turns out I signed a lease for 7 months and 27 days - taking me into the end of January. I am now wondering what my options are. Can I somehow insist on the 7 months (end date 3 Jan) or can I insist on a return of the aditional monthly ($25) fee ? Or am I screwed because my name is on the paper ? In other words, do I have any "out".

Re: Lease Termination

It depends upon the wording. An attorney

would need to review the document itself

and get other information from you.

Unfortunately, most attorneys charge more

than $25 for their consultations.
