Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida

Leasing

My apt. complex just sold and are going to condos. Can I get out of my lease...Can I get my security deposit back? I already signed agreement to have my rent stay the same until Oct.

Need to make some changes now.

Legally you are obligated to the new owner if your lease was assigned as it usually is. You may be able to convince the owner to release you from the lease, however, if they want to begin the conversion process. You should meet with the owner and try to negotiate an early termination of the lease.
