Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida
A lien was placed on the property for non payment of association fees but I have reread the deed and can not find any mention of annual fees being required. What can I do to avoid losing my property?

It's not on your deed. It's in the Declaration recorded against the property that you bought subject to. If you have a title policy you may want to read it. It would be listed on Schedule B. If it is not there, then you could have a title claim, but that's unlikely.
The only true answer is to pay it, unless there is some error by the association in enforcing the lien.
