Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida
I live in Boca Raton, Florida. I noticed on my deed that it said I bought the property for the consideration of the sum of $10.00, even though I paid $30,000. Why does it say that? Also, I am selling my condo now and the buyer wants to know if he can also say he put he purchased the for the consideration of the sum of $10.00?
Thank you.

It is standard to state a nominal consideration on a deed. The stamps paid on the deed reveal the actual sales price.
