Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida
Hi,
We live in a community on a lake in Tavares. This summer, when we go back up north, the water company wants to charge us 57$ per month even though we won't be here and won't be using the water for 4 months. 57$ is the minimum. The water will be shut off. I am confused as how they can charge us for water even though we are not using water. Is this unlawful?
Thank you,
Karley

Did you agree to this in a contract with the community? If so, it is not lawful.
