Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida
I live in a condiminum and am paying a monthly association fee. i had a problem with the gutter falling from the wall. when i called about the problem i was told there was no money but i would be put on the list. time came and went and i ended up having th gutter fixed myself. the entrance hallway is always dirty and i have to clean it myself. the sidewalk into the building is actually black from dirt and has not been cleaned in forever. there is no mulch around any of the landscaping and everything looks dirty. the doors, which are white, to the storage buildings are so dirty, there are plants growing out of the gutters. at the last meeting the association stated they wanted to increase the fees 30+%. everyone at the meeting was against the increase. there was no vote and nothing was determined at that meeting. if the grounds are not being kept up and i am having to make repairs myself why would i have to pay these assoc fees and what can i do about this

You must pay becxause that is part of the HOA agreement that governs your property.
Check your association's agreement. There should be a procedure for requesting repairs and increasing fees. If you paid money to fix or replace the gutter and can prove it, then you may have a right to reimbursement.
