I live in florida, I am trying to purchase a home in my name only cause my husband has very bad credit. Everything is good to go but the title company found a judgement on my husband. Can I be held liable for this?Type your question here...

When applying for the loan, you should be able to apply and take out the loan in your name only if you qualify. You can then put the house in both of your names and file for homestead if you desire but keep the mortgage in your name only. Before taking action, however, I strongly recommend you consult with a real property attorney in your local area.
