Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida
We live in Florida and have been renting at our current residence for over 2 years. We recently had to call the landlord to have them come fix the bathroom floor because it was rotting and about to fall through. After he finished the repairs, he sent us a bill for $650 because he said it was from our kids leaving the curtain open while they were taking a shower and the floor getting wet and since it was our fault we had to pay for the repairs. Can he do this?

Your lease controls the party who is responsible. You need to have the lease reviewed.
