Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida

I live in a older suburban Florida neighborhood - the lots are small, about 65-feet wide. My neighbor hates my clumping bamboo (not running bamboo, which is very invasive) along my side of a shared wall between our houses because it drops leaves. The bamboo is about 30-feet tall and sways in the wind so crosses the property line 15-20 feet up in the air, but only when its breezy. Do they have a right to cut the bamboo shoots at wall level (6-feet up)? Beyond asking them not to, what are my recourse options? We don't get along and nothing short of removing the plants will satisfy them.
