Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida
I need to know what makes your legal residence. Is it where you receive your mail? is it the address on yor drivers license, homestead or something else. Do you need to live at that residence for a specific length of time?

In Florida, it's where you say it is. However, you need to create legal proof such as drivers license, voter registration, homestead (if you qualify), what you put on your tax return, and the like.
No time period is required to become a resident.
