Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida
Mental & Physical Abuse of Elderly Parent by Adult children
A good friend feels like she has to move from HER home because her grown children will not leave. On at least one occasion one has struck her & knocked her down. They call her foul names. These children had previously been encarcerated. She had been the caretaker of their children while they were gone and took them in upon their respective releases. They are now both working and do contribute to the groceries. Someone (I don't know who) told her that since she willingly let them stay, she can't legally make them go. When she tells them to move, they call her a crazy old bag. Nice, huh? Isn't there some way she can get them out and take control of HER house again?
