Are landlords in Florida allowed to charged first month, last month, and security, or only first month and security?

Landlords can and do charge first, last and security for a deposit. I suggest that you have in writing that they are in receipt of this. In addition, be sure that it is clear in writing how you would forfeit this money, i.e. what needs to happen to the apartment that you loose this money. Be sure to take pictures of everything of the condition now. Give the landlord a set of pictures and retain a set for yourself.
