Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida

morage

I am being sued by my morage company for the amount owed on my house and additional fees. My house was forclosed on this year. I could not make payments because of a divorce and i lost my job. What do i do? Should I attend the court date? I can't afford a lawyer or to pay this settlement if it is against me. I can't even pay my taxes let alone a settlement of this amount.

You should definitely file an Answer to the lawsuit and attend all hearings. You can also contact the bar association for the county in which the property is located. They may have a program the provides assistance for those in financial distress.
