It sounds as if you and your siblings own this property, subject to your father's life estate interest. If the deed was properly executed, delivered, and accepted, then it is valid. Can he sue? Yes. Can he win? This depends on the facts of your case, his claims or reasons why the deed is invalid, and whether or not he can prove his claims. You should have a real estate attorney review the deed, and apply the law to the facts of your case before your father takes action. An attorney may be able to figure out what the problem is, and satisfy the objectives of your father and your family.
Anyone can sue. But if properly done, it would be difficult for him to be successful.
Without reviewing the deed and some other information, this answer is limited.
